South Australia. Margaret and Mick Jones suppliers of Willunga Almonds
invite you to try their range of quality flavoured almonds. All of the
almonds are produced on Margaret and Mick’s home property at Taronga
Orchard and include Johnstons, Somerton’s and Whit Brandis almonds.
The range of flavoured almond products include Chilli, Roasted Almonds
in Honey, Smoked, Garlic, Curry, Vanilla, Toffee, Cinnamon and Coffee.
Margaret is always experimenting with new flavours and ways to use the
almonds – ideas for sweet almonds include heating the Honey Almonds
for a luxurious accompaniment to wine, crush up the Cinammon or Vanilla
Almonds and pour over ice-cream for a superb sweet treat. An ideal way
to use the savoury seasoned Almonds is to grind them up, coat fish or
chicken and then grill
Taronga Orchard’s Pure Honey is all produced from the 40 hives
set amongst the Almond Grove. Their bees roam the property feasting
on native flowers – you can taste the natural local flavours.
